Resolving a Defect Report

•Defect Report

•A defect report in Open status exists.

•A developer has been assigned to the defect report.

1.Open the defect report in edit mode.

2.Change the State to Open..

3.Save the report.

4.Based on the information provided in the defect report, identify the cause of the problem, make the required changes, and unit test the system.

5.Include the generated defect report identifier as a reference in the source code being repaired, as appropriate.

6.Once the defect is resolved, update the Resolution field.

7.In the Notes field, indicate how you resolved the problem.

8.Save the report.

•Defect resolution, assignee, and comments are filled in.

•Defect report is in Pending Verification status.
