Entry Conditions
- A possible defect has been uncovered, either through the execution of a test case or some other means.
Procedure
- Log into Jira.
- If applicable, use the Find Issues capability to verify that a report on the defect does not already exist.
- Click on Create New Issue menu item.
- Comple the Create Issue - Step 1 screen and click Next button.
- Complete the Create Issue - Step 2 screen.
- If applicable, create a screen print from the system that depicts the defect being reported.
- Click the Create button.
Exit Condition
- Required fields are filled in, including the Steps to Reproduce.
- After an issue has been created, a number will automatically be generated by the system. The status of the issue will be Open (new). The system will perform automatic assignment of the issue to project manager. The project manager will then perform a manual assignment to an individual developer.
